Gripassist: gripping glove
Every day, people suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis or stroke lose the ability to grip. This affects millions in the USA and UK each year.
Gripassist gently bends the fingers into a gripping shape at the touch of a button so the user can hold forks, pens and other implements, regaining dignity, independence and freedom. So far as we can tell, Gripassist is unique.
We have built a prototype to demonstrate that our idea works, and applied for a UK patent.
The response from professionals and potential users has been extremely positive and enthusiastic. They believe Gripassist will be life-changing. We are very keen to continue the development of Gripassist to manufacture, to bring it to as many people as possible. We have a plan to achieve this, if we win funding for it. Please read our submission and vote for us!
